Tour du Dauphiné - 4 Massifs – 4-Day Cycling Challenge
Tour du Dauphiné Cycling Route: Map, Stats & Complete Guide
Take on a challenge in the French Alps through three legendary massifs — the Vercors, Belledonne and Chartreuse — condensed into a four-day road adventure inspired by the spirit of the Critérium du Dauphiné. Expect rolling transitions between towering limestone cliffs, dense alpine forests and high mountain roads, with 388km and 8822m of vertical gain across some of the region’s most iconic cols and balcony roads. From the slopes of the Col de Porte and Col du Granier to the exposed panoramas of the Balcons de Belledonne, every stage delivers a different character of the Alps: snow-capped peaks, deep gorges, quiet mountain villages and sweeping views towards Mont Blanc. The route flows south through the wild landscapes of the Col de l’Arzelier, Col de Menée and Col du Rousset, linking together long climbs, fast descents and remote valleys on roads shaped by generations of professional racing.
