Grenoble - Nice : Cycling Challenge

Ride out of the capital of the French Alps, Grenoble through the Trieves and past l’Obiou. Watch the sunrise in the Hautes-Alpes with views of Lac de Serre Poncon. The ride is undulating until Jausiers, where the real challenge begins, the highest paved col in Europe, Cime de la Bonette at 2803m.

We will enter Nice by the back roads after riding the Col de Colmiane, descending into the Vesubie with views of the Mercantor national park and its peak above 3000m.

With LAUTARET Adventures, its as much a social experience as a sporting achievement.

The event is organised on open roads, you are free to ride your own route. There is a checkpoint at the Cime de la Bonette and on the Promenade des Anglais.

The event is inspired by a bike ride in 1953, my grandfather who holds the family distance record completed 320km ride solo on a 17kg steel bike with three gears.
